Nova v1.4.10
Sleep your host from the couch, and stay in the game when the connection hiccups. Nova 1.4.10 is matched with Polaris 1.4.10.
Sleep Host
- The host power button reads the host now. A host that can sleep offers Sleep Host, and you press and hold to use it.
- A short countdown with Cancel runs before anything is sent, and leaving the screen during it calls the sleep off.
- The button reads Sleeping… until the host answers, and only one request goes out.
- Nova says the host is asleep only once it really is, and shows the host’s own reason when it stayed awake.
- Hold Wake Host on a host that is not offering sleep, and Nova tells you why and where to change it.
- Sleep Host works with a controller’s A button and as a TalkBack action. The button shows an open eye to wake and a closed eye to sleep.
Stay in the Game
- A dropped connection reconnects by itself instead of freezing on the last frame.
- A USB or Bluetooth mouse controls the game again.
- An open library picks up host changes, such as a new cover saved in the Polaris console, within about half a minute.
Clearer Answers
- Command Center’s Doctor says when a Display Mode Override on the host replaced the resolution you asked for, and where to clear it.
- Touch targets on the dashboard’s top buttons are larger, and the collapsed rail shows icons only.
Steam Deck Preview
- The D-pad works again, touch can pick a game, long libraries fit on screen, and focus is easy to see.
- A launches, B goes back, and the host picker moves into the top bar.
Sleep Host and the Display Mode Override notice need Polaris 1.4.10 with Allow Clients To Sleep This Host turned on for sleep. Automatic reconnect needs a Polaris host, and the library refresh works with Polaris 1.4.9 too. The mouse fix works with any host, Sunshine included.
